BAHAR ZENGİNGÖNÜL

H. Bahar Zengingönül, who completed her high school education at Ankara Science High School, graduated from Middle East Technical University as an Industrial Engineer in 1980. Then, she worked in the manufacturing industry for over 15 years as a specialist at Karsan Automotive Inc. and Coats İplik Sanayi Inc., and as the Industrial Engineering Department Manager at Beymen Konfeksiyon Inc.

During her term of office, she took part in the projects of “Determination of Production Standards,” “Cost Accounting,” and “Restructuring.” In these projects, she kept “increase in productivity” as her main principle.

She continued her work in the field of productivity as a project manager in the Organization Department of YKB Bank in the field of finance.

Thinking that the main element required for increased productivity was to evaluate human resources correctly, she moved to the field of Human Resources and worked as the Human Resources Department Manager at Eval Profilo Small Home Appliances Inc. and Vestel Group of Companies, and as the Human Resources Coordinator at Yeni Karamürsel Büyük Mağazacılık Inc.

While working in the Human Resources field, she managed the projects “Management with Processes,” “Adaptation of SAP Human Resources Program,” “Competency Based Human Resources Management,” “Organizational Structure in Restructured Companies,” “Performance Management,” and “Wage Evaluation.” Her main principle in these works was to establish “fair systems for employees” and “systems that are aware of and evaluate the efforts of employees.”

As a consultant, she provided support to medium-sized companies in different sectors on issues such as "Establishment and Implementation of Human Resources Systems" and "Employee Selection and Placement."

She is also a certified user of the Birkman Personality Inventory, the HL OPQ (personality inventory), the SHL WPS (work inventory), and the 16 PF (personality inventory) of the Behavioral Sciences Institute.

Bahar Zengingönül received a “Coaching” certificate by attending the “Applied Life Coaching” training jointly organized by Foundations (South Africa) and Middlesex Universities (England) in 2005. She wrote her thesis in the coaching training on “Coaching families and students in career and school selection.”

She completed Erickson International's "The Art and Science of Coaching" certification training in November 2008. She was awarded Erickson International's professional certification in June 2009 and the ICF PCC title in 2014.

H. Bahar Zengingönül, an active member of ICF-Türkiye since 2006 and of EMCC since 2013, was among the founding members of the ICF-Turkey Association. She also provided voluntary support to projects jointly organized by ICF-ÇYDD, ICF-Endeavor, ICF-Kariyernet, and ICF-Yenibiriş Platform. She also volunteered for Career Coaching activities for graduates at the METU Alumni Association.

With over 5000 hours of coaching experience, H. Bahar Zengingönül holds the titles of ICF PCC, ICF Mentor Coach, and ICF Assessor, and is among the EMCC accredited supervisors, and continues to work as a consultant, NLP expert, and “performance and development coach” at corporate and individual levels. She also serves coaches in training as a supervisor and mentor coach.
