Bahar ZENGİNGÖNÜL

H. Bahar Zengingönül completed her secondary education at Ankara Science High School and graduated in 1980 from Middle East Technical University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. She subsequently worked for more than 15 years in the manufacturing industry, holding specialist roles at Karsan Otomotiv A.Ş. and Coats İplik Sanayi A.Ş., and serving as Industrial Engineering Department Manager at Beymen Konfeksiyon A.Ş. During this period, she contributed to projects such as Establishing Production Standards, Cost Accounting, and Organizational Restructuring, consistently focusing on productivity improvement as a guiding principle.

She later continued her productivity-focused work in the financial sector as a Project Manager in the Organization Department at YKB Bank. Believing that the key driver of productivity is the effective evaluation and management of human resources, she transitioned into the field of Human Resources. She held Human Resources Department Manager roles at Eval Profilo Küçük Ev Aletleri A.Ş. and at Vestel Group, and later served as Human Resources Coordinator at Yeni Karamürsel Büyük Mağazacılık A.Ş.

In her Human Resources leadership roles, she managed major initiatives including Management by Processes, the adaptation of the SAP Human Resources system, competency-based Human Resources management, organizational design in restructured companies, performance management, and compensation evaluation. Across these projects, her core principle was to build fair systems for employees and to establish mechanisms that recognize and evaluate employee effort.

As a consultant, she supported mid-sized companies across various industries, particularly in the design and implementation of Human Resources systems and in recruitment and selection processes. She is also a certified user of the Birkman Personality Assessment, HL OPQ (Occupational Personality Questionnaire), SHL WPS (Work Profile System), and the 16PF (Personality Inventory) administered by the Behavioral Sciences Institute.

In 2005, she completed the “Applied Life Coaching” program jointly delivered by Foundations (South Africa) and Middlesex University (United Kingdom), earning a coaching certificate. Her thesis focused on coaching families and students in career and school choice. She completed Erickson International’s “The Art and Science of Coaching” certification program in November 2008, received Erickson International’s professional certification in June 2009, and earned the ICF PCC credential in 2014.

An active member of ICF Türkiye since 2006 and EMCC since 2013, H. Bahar Zengingönül is also among the founding members of the ICF Türkiye Association. She has volunteered in joint projects organized by ICF Türkiye with ÇYDD, Endeavor, Kariyernet, and Yenibiriş, and has also contributed as a volunteer career coach for METU Alumni Association initiatives.

With over 5,000 hours of coaching experience, H. Bahar Zengingönül holds the credentials of ICF PCC, ICF Mentor Coach, and ICF Assessor, and is also among EMCC-accredited supervisors. She continues her work at both corporate and individual levels as a consultant, NLP specialist, and performance and development coach. In addition, she supports coaches in training through her work as a supervisor and mentor coach.
